Cultural Event

I'm not prepared to give a speech on Monday. I hate public speaking.... But I have to get it over with at some point. This time, I went to MOCAD to see their "Black is, Black Ain't" and "I Repeat Myself When Under Stress" exhibits. It's really quite interesting to see what modern artists use. For example, there was a wooden box of oil, a beat up old chair and a lightbulb on an overhead. All used to express what "Black is, Black Ain't".

Friday

So it is Friday. It's raining. I'm sitting in a windowless computer lab at school. I wish I were someone else, like outside. Honestly, I wish we could have a thunderstorm right now. The inside of this building is filled with spring, and everything is hot and humid. The air is heavy, and the paper is sticky. I'm not prepared for summer. Don't get me wrong, the staying home and not having homework or school is great and all, but the temperatures are insane. Heat and I don't mix. I prefer it cooler...

Hmmm...

So I am sitting inside in a computer lab at school. On one of the nicer days this week. I want to go outside like no other. It's crazy sitting inside while spring is on the verge outside. I'm turning 15 this Friday which is also the first day of spring. So its only natural for the week before the official spring to be beautiful. When I go home today, I'll be outside. Doing something but I haven't made it that far in the thought process yet... That's all right though. Which reminds me! The River Rouge Clean Up is coming up!! I am so excited to do it again this year!!

Agh...

SIMUN is over... It's kind of sad... I don't miss dressing up, but I liked staring people down while asking them questions. It kind of terrified them, which in a sick way, made me feel like I was doing something right. I could tell when they didn't have all the info... Which again, made me feel kind of... I guess triumphant is the right word. I had succesfully made them look like idiots in front of a vast group of people. It was entertaining. :)

Break...

On the brink of break...
Ive got NOTHING to do this break. Which isn't all bad- but all my friends are going away or doing something. SO I am going to be bored out of my mind, dealing with a small seven year old sister. School is almost better than that. Not quite.

So I'll be writing yet another paper for Mr. Fielder and dealing with crap from my sister.

Happy Break! ;) (wink)

Nick and Norah

On February 3, Nick and Norahs Infinite Playlist came out. I now own it and sadly, have watched it at least 5 times. I'm pretty sure that by next year, I will have watched it so many times there will be a ring burned in the disk. I have to say that it is by FAR my favorite movie.

Nick: I never wash my pants. I like to keep the night on them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Norah: There's this part of Judaism that I like. Tikun Olam. It said that the world is broken into pieces and everyone has to find them and put them back together.
Nick: Maybe we don't have to find it. Maybe we are the pieces.
Norah: Nick? I'm coming in...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nick: You don't have to yell. It's not a train station. We're in a tiny car.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thom: Would someone mind telling me where we're going?
Norah: You know how some people like to eat at the same places?
Nick: Yeah.
Norah: Well Caroline likes to barf in the same places.

Pantomime

So the Pantomime show is going on here at Stevenson... and I'm in it. It's pretty fun, we are actually doing a dance to a song called "Don't Stop the Music" by Rhianna. Honestly, I don't like Rhianna, but I'm not the one in charge of the dance... so I will just have to deal, which I am fine with. It looks like the show will be really good this year! There are a ton of acts... like Romeo and Juliet, They Both Reached for the Gun, You'd Be Great in That, Mrs. Swan and a ton more! I am really excited to see it when it is all practiced out and ready to be presented. The show is on December 3, 4 and 5... You guys should come see it!
