Pantomime

So the Pantomime show is going on here at Stevenson... and I'm in it. It's pretty fun, we are actually doing a dance to a song called "Don't Stop the Music" by Rhianna. Honestly, I don't like Rhianna, but I'm not the one in charge of the dance... so I will just have to deal, which I am fine with. It looks like the show will be really good this year! There are a ton of acts... like Romeo and Juliet, They Both Reached for the Gun, You'd Be Great in That, Mrs. Swan and a ton more! I am really excited to see it when it is all practiced out and ready to be presented. The show is on December 3, 4 and 5... You guys should come see it!

Break...and Thanksgiving

Okay, so you know how you feel when school is just tiring you out and then you are so exhausted that whenever someone yawns, you yawn at least once, too? Yea, that means it's time for a break. I have been running on nothing ALL week... I can't wait for thanksgiving break, even though it's my least favorite holiday. To me, I just feel so obligated to eat food, that it makes me not want to eat food. I feel bad for all the turkeys at this time of year... They aren't the cutest animals, but it's like they have the plague and need to be killed off ASAP. So I don't eat a whole lot on the last Thursday of the month. To me, it's cruel. My dad makes this amazing sweet potato casserole, which has cinnamon on the top... It's SO good. That's my favorite part of Thanksgiving.

The Cruelest Kind of Animal Testing is...

Well you will just have to click this link >http://www.snapshots.net/cartoons/00412-daily-cartoons-animal-testing.gif< to find out! (:

Are you for... or against animal testing?

Have you ever realized...

Have you ever realized that some people are insane enough to actually want to hear Christmas music on the radios in November? Honestly, I'm not sure why Magic and WNIC feel the need to do that... It's like they want to turn away their listeners. Between their incessant blabbering and their horrendous carols, we never listen to the radio this time of year. You can only listen to "O Christmas Tree" so many times before you wish you could figurativley shred it into 50 pieces of conifer, light it and sit around a roaring fire and roast those chestnuts they are always talking about.

The Power of One

The most depressing movie I have ever watched in my life is called The Power of One. It's about this little boy, PK, who lived on thier farm in South Africa with his mom and dad during the Apartheid. His father got trampled by elephants, his mother died of a mental illness, he also had a nanny who moved away with her son. There was a native who also gave PK a chicken, but when he went to Dutch school as an English boy, his chicken got whipped, he got spit and peed on and then he too got whipped. He got taken in by a German professor and got sent to a prison b/c the prof. was illegally there. Then PK learned how to box, and became friends with the instructor, who ended up getting whipped to death. He got older and went to a higher academy and met a dutch girl who also died.

One Million Tests

Okay so today was like some official test day or something. I had a major test in Acc. Geometry, some wierd scale/arpeggio test in orchestra, Part 1 of a Biology test, a Current Events quiz and another pretest in orchestra... Ugh! So blogging is a way better end to the day than another test or writing a paper.

HOMECOMING!

Sooo... Homecoming is coming this Saturday. All week has been SPIRIT WEEK, and of course the freshies are losing. We may be in third, but probably fourth place. It seemed like yesterday homecoming was forever away... but now it's two days away! I am really excited about my dress and I just got some heels last night. I am going over to my best friends to get ready with all my other best friends and its going to be amazing! I'll have to write more about it later...

Good Quotes

These are just a few good quotes I found today when I was looking around...
A daydream is a meal at which images are eaten. Some of us are gourmets, some gourmands, and a good many take their images precooked out of a can and swallow them down whole, absent-mindedly and with little relish.

French is the language that turns dirt into romance.

Wednesday

So this week has been insane. Especially last night because there was a marching band review that I had to go to. I'm not in band, but I'm in colorguard. I had no time to myself whatsoever yesterday because of it so I got home and then I crashed. But we weren't horrible, which was a good thing. The bus ride was long, but it was fun! I would definitley do it again...
